Grand Teton Renews Historic Crest Trail

Ninety years after it was first blazed across the roof of Grand Teton National Park, the Teton Skyline Trail, better known today as the Teton Crest Trail, is getting some much needed repairs.

The route: Petzoldt's High Adventure Trail traverses the Teton Range for 67.5 miles, linking existing trails and involving short sections of sometimes-difficult cross-country travel. It runs from WY 22 west of Jackson north to the Lake of the Woods on Reclamation Road to Phillips Pass Trail on Teton Pass Road (WY 22)

The pre-existing rockwork to get the trail up Hurricane Pass was outstanding to begin with. I imagine with these upgrades it's an absolute pleasure to walk. Three cheers for trailwork!
