It's been a while since I checked back in on this thread. Glen Canyon Rising has grown like a willow in a nicely recovered tributary of Glen Canyon. I've pretty much focused all the attention on the
Facebook page which has been a great way to spread the word. It's pretty common for the posts on there to have reach well into the thousands with the top post at over 25k views now. Sweet!!
This has opened up new opportunities to show people that Glen Canyon isn't a lost cause. I've worked with the Glen Canyon Institute on several projects this year. First, the Glen Canyon Living Atlas - an interactive map with photos of the canyons recovering. They aren't all my photos, but I supplied quite a few of them to help get it off the ground. Check it out here:

Most recently I supplied GCI with photos for their 2017 Glen Canyon Restored calendar as well as their annual publication Hidden Passage. That is actually what reminded me to revisit this thread. If you are a fan of Glen Canyon, those calendars are now on sale for $20 through GCI at
http://www.glencanyon.org/store/posters-art. ALL proceeds go to Glen Canyon Institute and toward their goal of restoring a free flowing Colorado River through Glen Canyon. If you like pretty photos of pretty places and supporting a good cause, head on over and pick one up.
If spending $20 isn't your thing, fear not, because I'm going to be giving away at least 5 of these calendars randomly to BCP members who have posted trip reports recently. What recently means is TBD, but if you've been holding out on us, there's some motivation to stop.
Here's a teaser:
BCP shout out!
Hidden Passage - an annual benefit of being a member of GCI.
