Looks like what happened here, too. Did it end up knocking a bunch of branches down? 4-6 inches of wet snow plus trees with lots of leaves still resulted in a lot of broken branches in the parts of town with big trees. One final fall color image from me, after returning home from a desert trip to find this strange white stuff blanketing our backyard, and the trees bare.

Neighbours have some branches down, but it seems like most trees had already lost their leaves so no widespread damage from a similar amount of wet snow here. Not surprised that you got the snow as the drive home though Montana and southern Alberta was a bit tense at times.Looks like what happened here, too. I love the golden leaves on the white blanket. That looks so cool! One final fall color image from me, after returning home from a desert trip to find this strange white stuff blanketing our backyard, and the trees bare.

I had never heard of this and just looked it up, surprised to see a shrub like that with deciduous leaves and fall color. Found this description: "They are typically leafless most of the year, but produce many leaves after receiving substantial precipitation." So interesting!Ocotillo
