Fall Colors 2022

Don't get quite the majestic fall color treatment here that some places get, but there are splashes of color. This is right by my mailbox.

@Miya and @scatman I need help with my Macros... :D (or maybe just help in general)
I should have focused on the berry, not the water droplet.
My fingers were all stained a bluish purple when I took this for a good reason.

There is never a "Right" place to focus. It looks gorgeous as is!! But if you REALLY WANTED the berry, then yes I could help you with focusing your camera on that haha
My macro pictures are almost dead center and kinda boring. Different perspective is what makes art so fun

That's a wonderful shot. Usually with my macro lens, in tight quarters like that, I have to manually focus on the subject I want in focus, in your case the huckleberry, otherwise it will grab the closest object. This is tricky for me though because my hands tend to shake ever so slightly, and my lens doesn't have image stabilization. :( I really need to use a tripod for such shots.

Someone once told me that wearing a kilt makes up for lack of a tripod. Just sayin'.

Love all the pics!

Does anyone know where would be a good part of the Wasatch to go today to get good leaf colors?

I wasn't online today.
Where'd you go?
BCC waiting in line is a disaster Saturday. Good thing I was already up there.
I heard Millcreek was very crowded too. We went up Lambs which was quite pretty. Definitely plenty of people up there and the parking lot with the toilet at the trailhead was overflowing, but elsewhere it was easy to park and we just walked along the road for a while. May walk up City Creek a ways today and see how things look there!
