But I'm guessing the feast for the eyes compensated for the heat and gas $$$. Good for the soul!
 
We attempted to spend spring break doing normal things, like desert camping and hiking. I came down with the cough and cold my kids were recovering from, and we had a tent calamity in the wind, so we had to retreat early. I have spent the last 3 days sleeping as much as my cats.

I had to revisit this thread with recent news that I'll be moving back to Arizona (Tucson) here shortly. Outside of the record breaking (and likely to be the new normal) heat, I am excited for the desert adventures and easy access to such varied geography in every direction.
