Carrington Island - March 26, 2022

Shouldn't be much. Just bring a few credit cards and we'll be fine. With BIG limits or preferably, no limits.

ETA: Or we could just hitchhike. But you can't wear the kilt or nobody will pick us up.

Are you going to make some of those pancakes for us?

I changed my message cause I didn't think you saw it. But I should know the Scatster sees everything.

As for the cakes, sure. Anytime. They make good road cookies when dried a little. We can eat them on the road.

No need to smile, just bring that doll thing and keep him upside down.

This is super cool! I hope you return soon and visit Hat Island.

Are there currently any access issues on Stansbury Island? Years ago (maybe 2006-7) a friend was heading to the north end of the island and was told to leave by some AR-15 toting locals. I wish this was a joke. I've only hiked there once and it was less than pleasant due to people out shooting, we had a few ricochets buzzing over our heads, I've not had much interest in returning!

And I'm doing that 2400 feet for a second time...
Better bring a light pack so you can take some weight from me and Scat

Yeah, Stansbury is a mix of private and BLM land, so you want to be sure and park on the BLM land. I bought a BLM map of the area, and on that map it said that that causeway was a state road, so I assumed that I could walk along it to Badger Island. Carrington itself has some private land on it too. The northwest corner is owned by a livestock company I believe. Lots of solitude out that way though.

Hat Island is off-limits within a mile of its shoreline.

I am pretty sure I saw a cat littler scoop attached to Danny's pack. Just curious as to why he is packing that.

You know, I asked him the exact same thing. He told me that he brought it in case he needed to dig a hole. :)
