Have a safe trip back Yvonne! I hope your next trip out here turns out better.back in Salt Lake, heading back to Buffalo tomorrow.
First of all, it was to little time to do all the hikes I wanted to do. Then there was the weather issue. That damn storm was crazy and I was almost blown away!!
And because I'm such a sissy and the water temps in Sulphur Creek were so chilly and freezing cold, I canceled that hike. I guess end of next month looks much better.
I did Pleasant Creek and I can tell, the water was freezing!!! And it was running high and fast.
Anyway, it was a nice little trip, but way too short. I was totally running out of time and so a lot of things are still on my bucket list for another visit.

This is true. At least you stayed the course. I can't say the same for my Arches trip. I'm just hoping for good weather for the West Rim/Subway trip.I'm used to it, it always happens to me.
It seems I attract those nasty storms like a magnet
But there is always hope....

it was just freaking cold and stormy, I could do most of my hikes anyway. That was the good part of it.
But camping in stormy conditions like that was no fun. With my winter tent maybe, but I'm not bringing two different kind of tent on a 5 day trip. So I had to suffer a little bit
Especially when it comes to the part of flying dust and sand
I'm sorry to hear that the weather wasn't cooperating. I can't stand high winds in the desert. I seem to have to deal with that a lot on my trips. I'm glad to hear that you got to do most of the hikes you had planned, though.
