The inflatables just don't have the storage capacity of the rigid kayaks.
You can stack your gear it as high as you need to. NRS straps to keep everything tied down

I've no self restraint, and my dogs don't help with it either. Anyways, just ordered a custom new canoe, all the way from Canada. Just don't ask the price.
That should fit perfectly on the Escalante!
pontoon looks like some great times
Getting the girls (and dogs!) to come along is worth the price of admission for sure.
You name the time, I'll bring the beer.I'm thinking our ladies and our dogs should all get together and do a trip on the 'toon this summer!
Check these out. They are really durable and quite economical for how well built they are. Quite popular here in Montana.Bringing this back up. We have decided to buy some inflatable kayaks. I'll most likely go with the aquaglide columbia tandem or possibly a sea eagle fast track. The tributary is an option as well.
The floor of the boat is higher than the holes in the seams since it is inflated, so the floor is usually dry. There is usually some water in the seams between the side tubes and floor, but that usually won't get you our your gear wet.
