Bag Night Challenge 2019

I was at the Wedge Overlook that same evening for sunset, I must have driven right past you! :)
I actually wasn't at the overlook. But fairly close to there. Buckhorn draw was super busy on Sunday, lots of people in that area this weekend.

Ahh, I see now, east side of Buckhorn looking toward the Wedge maybe. I had a group of about 25 people camped nearby contributing to the congestion. :D

Hiked White House to Lee's Ferry. Did hike up to the rock fall in Buckskin. Probably one of my all time favorite trips.

Yeah, I agree, blueeyes! I was a bit surprised at how impressed I was as we walked dowstream observing how the canyon cut through deeper and deeper layers. How it went from tight Navajo narrows to widening Kayenta and Moenave to big broad chinle slopes. The petroglyph panels were stupendous.

I took a ridiculous amount of photos because it is just that beautiful at every bend.

I only saw the petroglyphs that were obvious but I loved them. And I did hike up and see Wrather Arch that was impressive!

Ridiculous is the word! Likewise, many hundreds of photos I haven't wanted to take the time to go through to put a realistic number up on Flickr.
So much more to do there, yet. I scouted the Middle Route and its south side moki steps for some sort of future trip, located the Dominguez Trail (start is a location of many petro boulders also), and went 2/3 the way up the Adams Trail/Route (enough to feel comfortable that it goes).

Total Nights: 3

03/06/2019 - Hole In The Rock Road (1 Night)
05/25-27/2019 - Donnelly, ID (2 Nights)

I broke a few vertebrae a couple of weeks ago, so at the moment I'm very glad we purchased the Casita last year. It allowed us to still take a trip and give me a semi-comfortable bed to sleep on. I have to have another CT scan in August and the spine specialist thinks as long as I take it easy until then I should heal completely and hopefully be able to still get some backpacking/camping and biking in before the weather turns to crap.IMG_3736.jpgIMG_3741.jpg
