Jug Mountain Ranch McCall, ID Aug 24th - 27th first race of the he mountain bike season.
Trail Flats Hot Springs, Frank Church Wilderness Sep 2nd such a lovely soak.
Grand Targhee for the Grand Charge 2nd race of the season. Sep 8th - 10
Galena Lodge Sep 15th-17th Mid season race and probably my favorite venue.

Magic Mountain Sep 30th-Oct 1st 4th race. Day we arrived was gorgeous weather that turned cold wet and muddy for the race.

I am now tied with my most nights out in a year which I think was 2014 I wrote it down somewhere but can't find that paper now.

This will get a full write up. But we went from gorgeous fall afternoon that welcomed in old man winter. Woke up with a jolt at 4AM when my tent collapsed. Center pole broke. Anyway hike out was gorgeous.

Hi Michael. Nah, I only had the weekend so I walked the airstrip to the rim and back to check out a camp spot I had found. No big deal hike really. It feels like home by now. I did get some good colors on Cottonwoods in Sand Creek and down in Death Hollow. I will put some in the 2017 foliage/colors album soon.

Are you the hitchhiking type? It's only like 20-25 miles total if you're comfortable thumbing from the Hwy 12 bridge back up to the airstrip

I am not normally AND I had an offer from a local friend to help me setup the shuttle. I contemplated the shuttle enabled loop I did going down the old road/route on the west rim to the Escalante and then bridge but didn't want to rush it. That route was reported here I think by @Bob when we did the Upper Death Hollow descent.
