Bag Night Challenge 2013

I wasn't to keen on the idea either. But my trip to Kolob Reservoir involved a tent trailer and it was... nice... really nice. The opportunity to buy this little trailer came up and I hesitantly bought the trailer. I love camping, always have but lately I find waking up in the mornings not so pleasant, just incredibly stiff and don't sleep well. Plus trying to fit everything into my little Subaru a challenge. I still want to cook everything outside, the only change for me is a cushier bed and I can stand up! I suppose that from time to time I will still tent if the road isn't passable with my trailer attached. I know I see more backpacking in my future. I love it other than being cold.

Spencer didn't like sleeping in the tent trailer and I didn't like him sleeping in there either! That boy moves too much, every time he moved the whole trailer moved!! He likes his hammock and said that is where he will stay or a tent. Popup isn't for everyone.

The pop ups or trailers are too much work for me, but I'd definitely still count them as a bag night! I'd be lying if I said I had never been seriously tempted to own one. Maybe when I'm too old and broken to crawl into a tent. Or perhaps when my bag nights start outweighing my work days. :)

Actually my little pop-up his hardly any trouble at all. I have it set up in the same amount of time as two tents and three blow up pads. The bigger pop-ups I think are more work. This really is nothing more than a tent on wheels. I ripped the sink out because it is useless and gave me more room to put my camp gear inside the pop up. My problem since I got rid of my Durango has been cargo space. With three of us plus bike gear fitting into a Subaru Forester takes a magic act! I started with Ugly Betty my utility trailer and after buying this just wish I would have bought a tent trailer long ago. I can fit all my essentials inside of it and off I go. Now I just need to work out the bikes. I actually found a great idea just need to get someone to help me with it.

Okay enough about pop-ups... do I get to count the nights I stay in my new trailer when it is parked at my moms house in Ogden? :giggle:

Finally...

@Miss Buffalo and @pixie1339, how were the skeeters up there?

not too bad, I was expecting many of them, but there were only a few and they somehow liked Lisa :D
I had no problems with them, not a single day.
The same at Priord Lake. Last month was horrible in the Uintas, but this time basically nothing. Just a few shortly before sunset, the normal stuff you always have.
