Backcountry Vehicles

I thought Trail Premimum meant the synthetic softex leather-like seats? I feel your pain with my Tundra. It had very soft black upholstery. It got so bad that I had it removed and replaced with leather. Damn big white Sage furs everywhere!

I'll have to look into the KDSS. The salesfolk told Audra that the Trail Premium would be a really rough ride if she isn't off road a lot, so she's still pretty stuck on the Limited. I wonder if it's even available for that?

I don't know anything about a Trail Premium. When we shopped to get this 2014 there was only the Trail and it does not have smoother leather or leather-like seats. Just cloth with these multiple thin but deep grooves that capture crumbs and stuff. This is my wife's truck and she is (over)sensitive to ride harshness and she loves the ride on this Runner. I can't pry the keys out of her hands. Come borrow ours for a day if you want.

I thought taking my F-250 into the Maze was a little wonky, but this dude took a four-door Chev w/camper there:

Read it. Good stuff. :) https://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/24856428.cfm

The new Chevy Colorado is pretty sweet.

I sat in a diesel one that had the optional rack system in the back at the Brickyard 400 and I was quite impressed. Not sure about buying anything Chevy but, this one is pretty nice. Might be favorite small truck.

That's a sharp looking truck.

I picked up a new backcountry exploring rig. It's not nearly as capable or comfortable as the 4runner, but it tows great and has tons of room for toys like bikes, packrafts, paddles, etc.

I'm selling the 4runner now, I'll be sad to see it go. It was one of the best vehicles I've ever owned, but it's not going to work with our full-time RV life..

We recently sold our 4runner and bought the adventure van. The 4runner is very nice, however it doesn't have the space, and in some instances the clearance. We can now, EASILY carry 2 kids, 1 dog, and all of our gear...my dog has her whole bed to lay on and I can see out the back window without obstruction. I'm loving it!

Oh man that van is nice, my wife and I have been tossing the idea of a nice van around. I have a couple of years before my youngest is done with school and we can really get after it but we would like to spend a few years chasing the springtime in a van.

I want a Syncro but they are getting pretty expensive, even one to rebuild.

syncros are crazy expensive. It's too bad, they're really cool.

I think a 4wd diesel eurovan would rock.

I take my wife's Fit places it shouldn't go.. The ranger in escalante told me we wouldn't be able to make it to Sooner Rocks but I had to prove him wrong.

I've take a 2001 civic there twice. It all depends on road conditions.

On a side note, our fit is one of the best cars we've ever owned.

Definitely an amazing car for the price they sell it for. I just need something with a bit more clearance. I keep finding situations it cant handle.
