A Bit Off Topic - Prayers Needed

You and your wife are in my thoughts and prayers. May the Creator's healing touch be on you both. May you both hopefully fully recover quickly.
 
Sending healing vibes and thoughts.......Hoping the New Year will bring good health and many many more happy miles on the trails for the both of you.
 
Update: Sadly I have to report that we had to let Patty go yesterday. Her doctors had given her a 50% chance of survival. Unfortunately the devil is in the details. Her ICU doctors were in agreement that even if she were to survive, the weeks or months or years of pulmonary rehab would have left her unable to walk on her own or take care of herself. Patty would have never wanted that. Her lungs were just too badly damaged by the virus.

So... we decided she had suffered enough and let her go midday yesterday.

Im at peace that we made the right choice for Patty. Now I’m trying to figure out what to do with the huge hole in my life and my heart. She was my best friend for 35 years.

Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. I know they helped to alleviate her suffering and allowed her to go peacefully.

That is heartbreaking Perry. Praying for you and your loved ones.
 
I'm so sorry, Perry. I've been thinking about the impromptu BCP BBQ we had a year or two ago, and how grateful I am to have met you and Patty and have gotten to know you beyond the screen. Audra and I, and all the animals here, send all our love, and if there's anything at all we can do for you, we are here for you. Seriously. Stay strong my friend.

I'm so sorry, Perry. You have both been in my thoughts every day. I remember how you told us all, that Patty and you came up with the idea of Looping the Highline. I admire your perseverance and can only imagine how much joy she had seeing you complete the hiking loops. Wish we were closer, but we are all here for you on BCP.

I'm terribly sorry, Perry. I don't have much to add beyond what's been said here. Wishing you and your family the best during this difficult time.
