2018 Backcountry Post Shirts

There aren't a lot of other active members in my neck of the woods, so my preferred locations might not be all that popular overall. But would be cool to see something like Tobacco Roots, or Pintlers. Maybe even just Glacier National Park.

As morbid as it may sound, I prefer to wear brighter colors when in the backcountry.
If something were to happen to me, I want anything that helps in my body being
found.

I routinely refer to my red/orange jackets as 'corpse recovery orange'.

I just bought my first dry suit. In fact I'm wearing it right now to try it on. Options were yellow or black in my size. I chose black which will match my grey/black PFD nicely. If I drown, they're never finding me...

can we put this on the shirt?
like as a quote underneath may be?

"If i drown, they're never finding me..."

Oh please... I don't believe you are sitting there in your dry suit. Pics?

Ha! I swear I was but no pics. I spent close to an hour in it to see how it felt over time. The gaskets are a bit tight for a big guy like me. Felt like I was getting choked out and I was starting to lose a little feeling in my hands. Just what you want when you get tossed out of your raft in a class IV rapid in freezing water, right? Want to do Westwater with us in March? Your ducky would look good in the Room of Doom. :)

Good one. And that reminds me, you know that Benito is a professional shirt builder, right?

No, I did not. I was actually struggling a bit on how to design for the half tones and gradients. I might have to hit @Ben up.

Might be just the strategy for the weight reduction program... sweating it out in the dry suit while sitting at your 'puter surfing stuff. Still, pics or it ....

Yes I do!

Mini-TR.: And there I was on my first ever captain assignment rowing through Skull. Had my dear friend trusting me in the bow with zero experience on rafts. I was warned over and over about the Hole in Skull. So I took great caution and high stress to just miss it and then headed right towards the Rock of Shock. Pulling, pulling, pulling to keep from wacking into it and sliding off the pillow into the Room of Doom. Note to self - DO NOT go into the Room of Doom! People die in there. Pulling. Pulling. Forgetting.

Forgetting that you have to actually point the rear of said raft off the fall line to ferry across the stream. Pulling, pulling back, straight back, upstream to no avail. Wacked right into that Rock of Shock. Fell off the pillow to the left into the main channel instead of into that terrible eddy chaos called the Room of Doom and survived. Unfortunately there were witnesses and that night certain stories were born around the campfire. Funny, I never see that friend any more.

Agreed. I hike in a lot of areas where hunting is going on. I run into hunters a lot who tell me they appreciate my brightly colored clothing. Better safe then shot :)

I need to replace my pack and am considering getting an orange one for that very reason

I need some blaze orange stuff for deer season, so that would be the perfect color for me

Agree with above comments concerning color in the outdoors. For years I was trying to keep a low visual impact but now, bright orange seems to be my favorite color.

As for a regular (but very special, eventually replacing Bitcoin) t-shirt, I can still rock the earth tones.
