Glad to hear you had a great time. I made it part way up wildcat when I was there a few weeks ago but had to turn around because of the deep snow. I too am looking at moving my 2020 trip back to April

I hiked from Wildcat on Friday halfway to Northgate peaks and then Connector trail down to Hop Valley. Wildcat was mostly snow free but as soon as I came to the intersection towards lava Point trail, I hit massive snow drifts. They were doable, but not a lot of fun because of the slushy nature of the snow.
I guess in a week or so more will melt away.
We got some new snow in the highest parts yesterday but it won't stick around for long
