I'm planning a 3-day hike for several young men and young men's leaders in early June. I've done King's Peak and I think it would be perfect, but I'm told there would likely be too much snow still on the mountain then. I'd like to stay in northern Utah, and while I want to challenge them, I don't want to drag them along the entire time. Any recommendations?

Escalante is a better bet in June. Check out some of the options along the Escalante River. Even if the snow melts off by June, if you go in the northern UT mountains you will have to deal with mosquitos and mud.

Yeah, at that time of year I would also head to a watery canyon area like escalante
