Yosemite half-dome hike, October 2016

Yosemite trip from October of 2016. I did the hike to half dome via the John Muir and mist trails, and was planning on summiting with the cables down. (I had a harness and ropes to tie off with) Buuuuuuut... As you can probably see in the photos, half dome was cloud-wrapped, wet, and icy in spots, and that makes the ascent too dangerous for a day hike, especially since I was solo, and was the only one up there. Breathtaking views from 4800' above the canyon floor! Hiked almost 24 wonderful miles that day....but I'll have to go back to summit the dome.
