Wyoming Range conditions 2023

Bars of gold I tell you @TractorDoc and @Rockskipper, backcountry currency, Texas tea! If someone should send out a posse while we are in the range to acquire them, I'll quietly slip them into @Bob's pack as they approach, so that he takes the fall instead of me. :hot:

Man you've got good eyes Dave. The Jeep had to go in for a complete rear brake replacements, and have the emergency brake fixed too, since it no longer worked. It was taking me a good distance to stop before the fix, now a slight touch of the brake pedal will nearly send you through the windshield. :timebomb:

Today is Sheila's Birthday (36 I think :D), so the toadstool thingy is her birthday gift from Katie. I think it will go in one of her flower gardens. She might not want to place it too close to the lawn though, because I have a tendency to mow things down. :)

I forgot the hot chocolate and the beef jerky in my first picture. I had to run to the store because I didn't have enough cocoa, and look what I found.

Some decedent hot chocolate, with little pieces of dark chocolate in it. The Wyoming Range will never be the same. :)

Thanks for the update @Dreamer . Looking forward to this one, and you should absolutely join us.

Got my snacks and breakfasts ready to go.

This includes: oatmeal, dark chocolate granola squares, parm crisps, plantains, okra, moon cheese, sour cream and onion pretzels, Cajun trail mix, energy bars (two per day), and of course almond and peanut M&M's.

For the record, Bob LOVES okra! So be sure to share as much okra with him as possible!

And a very happy birthday to Sheila!

Now you’ve jumped the shark over to complete decadence.

ETA I had to look up what jump the shark means. I am not sure I mean what it means, but Starbucks cocoa in the Wyoming range seems all wrong, though I once did carry some of those little Starbucks instant coffee’s into Teton Canyon with me.

TV series Happy Days.

In one of the later episodes Fonzie was water skiing and jumped over a shark. From what I understand that was too unimaginative of a feat for viewers to accept and led to people tiring of the series.

I wonder what the viewers back then would think of the Sharknado movies (or their sequels!).

For the record I've not seen the Happy Days episode or any of the Sharknado movies. I did watch the first Jaws movie though. :)

Sorry, I'm a sucker for dark chocolate.

I think you might need me to come along to ‘help’ lighten that load of chocolate. How many nights out? I found two Willow Cks but you must mean near the junction. That’s a pretty long shuttle. I might be able to get us a drop off.

Supposed to be 8 nights out, Willow creek on HWY 187 out of Hoback Jct, near camp davis....... we will have 2 vehicles.

You turn by the big fiberglass moose

I‘m supposed to do a work thing online the 29th but I could dump it. I’ll sleep on it overnight. You could sent me a route and possible campsites if it’s easy.

I know. Normally I wouldn’t hesitate, backpacking vs. work = easy decision but they recently advanced me and I’m feeling some slight pangs of responsibility.

Think of the EPIC TR you could write afterwards. Once in a lifetime opportunity to get sick on Chocolonely. :)
ahhhhh ........ Puking on the Prairie
