Doing some planning for a winds trip and saw this on satellite that drew my attention. I’ve been on the highline trail a few times that goes by Big Water Slide and never checked it out. Looks worth exploring! Wondering if anyone has followed Fremont creek between the foot bridge and lost lake. Not sure if it’s even possible but figured I’d see if anyone has been there. Just a couple of years ago I walked/waded most of Fremont Creek between Island Lake and Lost Lake - I was kind of just wandering that day though, so I don't have great notes or pictures. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them.

If you're just asking if it's worth visiting? Yes. (But I may not be a great source, because I say that about most places in the Winds - except Big Sandy and sometimes even Big Sandy.)

Big Water Slide is nice. Have some nice shots of Bow and Arrowhead, etc with falls in foreground. Very overused campsite and that was 13 years ago. Easy to find - unmaintained trail to Lost Lake just past bridge, then branch left just past the swamp. Reachable in a long day from Elkhart.Wy1B 080.JPGWy1B 086.JPGWy1B 093.JPG
