Wind River Range: Big Sandy/Deep/Cirque/Texas Loop

Oh, yeah, after my first trip to Titcomb I swore I would never go back because of the crowds. But I tried again after Labor Day the next year and had it to myself.

I guess I just have only seen the crowds in the Sierra's, so I need to give them another shot to try to find the solitude.

Thank you for this fantastic post! I have done a lot of backpacking in North America and the Winds definitely stand out as one of my all time favorite places. Your pictures are fantastic as well. One question, how did you create the Google maps route with campsite locations? Thanks again for the post! Jason

Looks like you had a good trip. Really nice pics.......................but sorry not natural enough for me......to processed.

I'm late to the party, as usual, but this is a great trip report. The Sierra Nevadas are my personal heaven, but the Winds keep me going with no hurt feelings. Thanks for the trip report. What camera were you using?

A few years ago my brother and I trekked up to the Big Sandy region. It was amazing! I have spent a great deal of time in the Uinta's (mostly what is accessible from the Mirror Lake Highway) and I was excited to see another mountain range.

I was blown away by the scenery there. One of the best weekends of my life!

Thanks for sharing!
