Ash & cinders on the tent in the morning - that would have freaked me out and I definitely would have bailed. I was camped at Elbow L when it progressed after the rain. Pictures are about 3 hr apart. Thought a new blaze had started as wind hadn't apparently shifted. Smoke came up the Green, hit the walls around Peak L and billowed my way. I checked with @Bob and others to see if my retreat was cut off. Tent was covered in ash and cinders in the morning. I bailed. Ok 20 mile hike out, but day after all the smoke from Canada and NW US is covering the range. Debating what's next.

I didn't see anyone up there that day and didn't run into anyone the hike out until near the intersection with the trail to Indian Basin/Island Lake.Do you know if there were any people in that area who didn't leave?
