Wind River Fire

Been going a week now. Pretty much have a handle on it..... but it has burned from Dollar lake to Green River Lakes. I think the campground is gone.... Our trip had a good smoke cover, Gannet south was bad.....

We popped in to see a friend in Cora on the 23rd on the way back to Denver from our Yellowstone trip and it was as smoky then as I'd ever seen a place. Pretty sure the campground is gone, yeah.

Oh no! I think "Wind River Fire" is the three-word combination that I dread hearing more than any other...

Popped up fast... this is what it looked like from Dubois last weekend. I started seeing the smoke plume from somewhere around Casper. Shame for the Green River Lakes to burn, it is a beautiful area.

Just got to Pinedale. Hazy but not bad. Next few days look ok for weather and smoke. Fire now 15,000 acres, 22% contained. Union Pass is open. Looks like Clear Ck was spared.
