This is random, but I walked Wilson Fork top to bottom today, it's only about a mile as the crow flies but it took close to 2 hours because the drainage is absolutely full of deadfall. Maybe from one of those downslope wind event things we've had last couple of years. Anyhow, totally miserable hiking, not remotely fun.

I had walked Wilson a few times before, maybe in the mid-2000s, and recall it as being mostly easy, delightful walking. Veranth's guidebook says similar. But no longer! Probably best avoided unless someone knows of a trail that I missed.
 
There was a big avalanche there earlier this year that killed four people. I would imagine it did some damage to the trees and landscape.
