I have searched the internet and can't find an answer. This is on a USGS Topo

As far as I can tell, it seems to be USGS's Red Plate - Road Data - Route Markers

USGS Topographic Key
I looked at that key but it didn't have that shape. I needed it to be more obvious apparently.

But now that I go back and look at the map again the same symbol with the 75 in it follows a road.

I just kept thinking half empty red solo cup.
