Hi everyone,
I've been spending a lot of time lately pouring over maps and planning my upcoming summer trips. There is honestly nothing more exciting than that initial stage of mapping out a new route, is there?
I am currently weighing a few different regions and trying to find that perfect balance. I am really looking for places where I can experience that 'true wilderness' feel and get away from the typical, crowded tourist trails. I value solitude, great views, and good opportunities for wildlife viewing.
I am curious to hear what you all are working on this year. Do you have any favorite areas you recommend for backpacking? Specifically, I'd love to hear about places where you can enjoy the backcountry without the heavy summer crowds.
I’m also down to exchange tips on route planning, navigation, or gear adjustments for unpredictable weather conditions.
