I have a really bad shot of Rifle Falls, exposed in full sun.
The bright light killed a lot of the great details.

And I can definitely tell you that your shot is awesome

I'm sure this scene would look much better in the fall when the colors are changing or later in the spring when everything is green, but I worked with what I had. Besides, that's when the big crowds show up that I like to avoid...we had the place to ourselves for quite a while.

definitely, the week or two after my visit they closed the area

reopened this spring apparently. I went down and didn't see the barricades I saw there last year

It was open when I stopped by in mid-March this year, but they are closing it again this year for the rest of the spring/summer.

What a bunch of crap. Put up some signs and warnings but allow people to take a reasonable amount of risk!

I guess they fear a lawsuit if something happens. You know, there are a lot of tourists who cannot read warning signs.
Or at least they pretend they cannot read them.
