Washington - 4x4 to Bear Lake & Little Deer Pass

This past weekend it was a little chilly so instead of camping out on Saturday we just did an uneventful day hike near Mount Pilchuck @ Bear Lake. High clearance and 4x4 recommended (4x4 for this time of year anyways). The snow pack has been poor this year but enough to have some fun with the truck in, even though it was old, icy hard snow. Sunday we visited my wife's dad and when that was over we used the remaining daylight to take a shortcut home (not short cut) via Little Deer Pass on Finney Creek Road. Forgot to bring our nice cameras there was a super cool sunset going on in skagit valley. Only wildlife seen was deer.
