Come along with me and spend 3 days, 2 nights in the 5 Ponds Wilderness Area of the Adirondacks. The weather was perfect, 70's and sunny with lows in the mid 40's and the leaves were at peak color. The view atop Cat Mountain took my breath away!

This is the first trip where I have been ultralight (sub 10 pound base weight) coming in at 9.8 pounds. We check out a few pieces of gear; a custom cuben tarp from HammockGear, a 1.6 argon hammock from DutchWareGear and a backpack from ZPacks, the Zero.

Also, I bring along my harmonica for the first time on a trip and play a little blues from time to time, Hammock Hanger Blues. Thanks for watching!

That unplanned camp spot was a choice spot! Thanks for taking me along in the video. Great fall colors too. Loved the ending at the restraunt.

Thanks for that TDT. I am glad you enjoyed the trip. I had about 2hrs further to drive after the "Hot Mess" plate...I was a hot mess.

Great vid, enjoyed watching it and look forward to watching the others. You can wail on that harmonica.

Very cool. It was good, but (I'll be honest here) an hour was a little long. Maybe break up the trip, gear review, and other stuff into different vids. Makes it more digestible. I like it though. I need to get there, maybe next year.

Thanks for the note - it is a place worth visiting if you are able to make it. Video length is a tough thing --- hard to figure out.
