I've not been too active here on BCP the last few years, but anyone who's been on the site awhile might remember that I've posted about searches for missing persons in the Uinta Mountains (ie. Garrett Bardsley, Melvin Heaps, Carol Wetherton and Kim Beverly... among others). @Nick has heard me drone on about this topic, and I even ran into @Jackson on a volunteer search one time.

One of these missing persons cases that's long captivated me was the 2011 disappearance of Eric Robinson. Eric was an Australian trekker who traveled to Utah to hike the Uinta Highline. He'd planned 10 days to cross from Chepeta Lake to the Mirror Lake Highway, but he didn't make it to the far end.

I covered the story in my job as a journalist for KSL in Salt Lake City. Several years back, I convinced my bosses to let me do a deep investigation into Eric's case. That's involved traveling to Australia and New Zealand, recording sights and sounds in Yosemite, and even solo hiking the Uinta Highline.

The result of all this is a new podcast called Uinta Triangle. It's launching this week with the first two episodes dropping anywhere you get podcasts. I figure the show might be of interest to BCPers, and I'd love to discuss with anyone interested as episodes roll out over the next several weeks.
