I've long enjoyed that backcountrypost is the best information source for a Thorofare trip, regardless of route. We're long overdue for a Thorofare album to help trip planners understand how amazing this area really is. Feel free to add your favorites!!

Thanks for adding to the collection. I think your Teton Wilderness pic was taken before mine

Now have old photos from back in here the Thorofare from my first year back in here in 1982. Have posted photos from back in here many a time before. Photos are great but do not really capture this country to the fullest. One has to experience this country in my opinion. Now remember when all those sign posts were still standing. Much of that country has remained as it always should be ... wild and nice!

Also next summer in 2023 with all the snow up high and the resulting spring runoff ... the Thorofare will be filled with mosquitoes in the summer.

I completely agree - it's one of those areas where the pictures look great, but they still aren't even close to showing off the natural beauty.
