In between university, the eruptions, and work, I try to squeeze in some hikes.

Welcome back! Good to see you're still out playing in the lava.

Today marks the day that my surgeon told me that I could do anything that I wanted to do as far as hiking was concerned. So since my last hike before knee surgery was the Avenues Twin Peaks, I decided that it should be my first good hill climb since my surgery. Now originally, I had planned a backpacking trip for one night out on Antelope Island, but as the forecast continued to get worse for this afternoon and evening I had a change of plans. The forecast is calling for a 40% chance of rain and a high wind warning with gusts up to 60 mph, along with blowing dust. I didn't want to listen to the wind blow all night thus the switch to the Twin Peaks instead.

New marker near the trailhead. I had no idea that the trail was called the Tomahawk Trail

Today's camera was the Canon EOS D30, with a 3.1 megapixel sensor, released in October of 2000. This was a landmark camera as
it was Canon's first in-house design digital SLR. Going on 26 years and still ticking!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Didn't end up getting too much wind out of it. It blew for may be two hours tops and no rain to speak of. I probably should have headed to Antelope for the night.
