Just my usual 3.75 walk up Memory Grove and back home this morning as my big hike is coming up on Tuesday as I plan to summit Mount Timpanogos for my 62nd birthday. Salt Lake reached 103 degrees today, and is heading for 106 and maybe a record breaking 107 tomorrow. When Sheila and I left for our walk at 8:30 am it was already 85, and by the time we returned it was 92. It's pretty scary how dry everything is here. Hopefully at some point we can get some sustained rain, but that is probably unlikely in the near future. KSL is projecting 100 degrees for my hike on Tuesday, so it will be nice to be at a higher elevation where it will be cooler.

This is what @TractorDoc and I need for our next trip to Yellowstone - a rabbit with a footlocker attached to the top. :D Think you
can fit your backpack in there Trac?

Squirrels were plentiful this morning this chewed off a dandelion flower and stem and ate it up in a tree.

Beginning to drop down into Memory Grove with the Capitol above and Memorial House down below. Way back in the day (late
1800's to early 1900's) it was a horse stable, now it is more like a reception center and such.

Sheila is out ahead of me today, heading north on A Street

Zoomed in on Ensign Peak. Looks like there are quite a few people on top

About a week before Mount Van Cott caught on fire, someone set a fire in Memory Grove. The city has already come in and cut
down all that was burned, leaving short stumps behind.

Every summer, the first day it gets above 100 degrees, my daughter and I head down to Beans & Brew by Liberty Park and get a frozen Mr. B's.
It's kind of like a coffee shake.

When I returned from college back in 1987, this was called Grounds for Coffee and it was where I had my first Mr. B's. Sorry
@TractorDoc I'm starting to get nostalgic again. :) In 1993 Beans & Brew took over and then some years late remodeled their
store to what you see here. It lost all its character in the remodel. :(

And the old Jeep was parked in this lot back in 1993 too. The year that I bought it as a birthday present to myself.

So on Tuesday @Rockskipper, @TractorDoc has already given me the green light to bring one of my Sigma zoom lenses, so which one should I bring?
- The Sigma 100-400mm lens (the lightest)
- The Sigma 80-400 mm lens (lets a bot more light in than the one above, but heavier)
- The Sigma 50-500 mm lens (Heaviest of the bunch and I will not have a tripod with me)

I'm leaving it up to you Skipper, so make a good choice. :)
