I've suggested to Ben through convo that he start a thread where he can check in and update us every once in a while on what he's up to. I'm pretty sure we're all pretty wowed and wanting to live vicariously through him right about now! Glad all is going well Ben. Keep us posted!

At the office, I always enjoy that my feet aren't soaking wet, and there's some where flat enough to set up a tent within a couple hours walking distance. On the other hand some things on this trip have been really nice. Like the free wifi at Denali np : )
Full disclosure, I've never worked in an office.

Scatman_Down.jpg

Scatman Down! Scatman Down! Crossing some blow down, my colossal weight snapped one of the logs and I ended up on my keister. My tailbone was a little sore the rest of the way! :)

- Somewhere between Beach and Dryad Lakes in Yellowstone National Park

Looks like you are actually kind of smiling......

Yikes! Did they have rig up a tripod and block and tackle to extricate you?
Is that a lens cap in your mitt? A little distracted perhaps? :help:

@Bob - That's no smile, it's more of a grimace due to the dull pain one feels when landing on one's tailbone. :)

@langutah - You are an observant one. Yes, that is a lens cap in my hand. I had Scatman Jr. take my shot while I was down on the ground whimpering.

You couldn't believe the system Jr. and @McGimpkins rigged up to extract me from my predicament. Leverage was the key. I think that they might have been contemplating leaving me there for making them take this route between the lakes, but I bribed them with some Honey Stinger energy chews!

Well I think you should talk @McGimpkins into writing the trip report for that day.
