Album The dogs of backcountrypost.com

Hope this isn't a misuse of the dogs thread, but it would appear that Sage's brother is up for adoption from the Sevier County Animal Shelter. If he's anything like Sage, that is a fine backcountry doggie needing a home.

My wonderdog Sage for comparison. About the same age. Wild...

Clearing pictures off my phone to mark the end of the year.

My backcountry dog was too much for the black fabric upholstery in my backcountry vehicle. Had to rip it all out and put in leather. Amazing how those long white hairs get intertwined in everything. Sage is happy though.

I've posted pics of my dog Patina here in the past, but as she has aged (almost 7 now), she has become the complete anti-backcountry dog. That's okay though, we still love her.

The last time she went backpacking she did this to my tent to get to my sleeping bag while I was out fishing.

Nowadays this down vest is about as outdoorsy as she gets. She wears it to bed every night or else we have to wake up and cover her in a blanket a few times per night.

She doesn't even respect the couch!

But that's okay. Some dogs just like lounging around the house, kind of like a lot of humans. :)

A couple of Mira at Tannery Falls (Munising, MI) this past weekend - despite our best efforts, we were unable to wear her out!
Alright Heronwheels, she's a beauty! Great pics, these look like they are studio-shot except Mira is in the backcountry.

Thanks langutah! I was able to get a few shots of her with my phone before she bolted, she's a very busy girl!! I can't wait to get both dogs back to Utah in a few months!!
