The cats of Backcountrypost.com

I just had to take mine to the vet because he had these mysterious marks on his stomach, like something had shredded it. The vet said he got into it with a squirrel, and the squirrel had kicked him with its back legs. I think I know that squirrel and it's not one to be messed with. My cat is almost back to normal, but he seems to have lost interest in squirrel hunting. He's taken to going after ants and occasional grasshoppers.

Some fried cat?

Right before Christmas we added a new rescued kitten to the bunch. He is about 7 months old.
I do not love the name, but he came named Kumquat. He is adapting well, and the other cat, she borders between indifference, aggravation, and obsession, just depends on the time of day.
For his part, except when she is wrestling him to the ground, he is naively oblivious to her moods. He politely taps you with his paw, or meows for attention, cuddles and food.
