West side from Jackass to dropping into Solitude is pretty nice as well..... Moose Basin is good as well, but we weren't doing that area on that trip....

No need for permits either.....

Yes I liked the Green Lake area too. But trust me, there is NO PROBLEM getting a permit for that part of the park. Hell, the rangers seldom know how to write it up correctly because the computer doesn't list many of those areas. If I recall, in 2014 they had to hand write the permit. We didn't see a single sole until we got back to Paintbrush.
