Yes, we’d snagged a campsite at Birdalveil Creek & hung out up there after the crowds had mostly disappeared.

My wife said the same, we’re actually looking into it now.

I've had good experiences with Bay Photo if you are looking for a place to print large

That's good to know. We recently used Shutterfly to print a bunch of our trip photos, and some were better than others - quite inconsistent. I will check out Bay Photo for the future. Thanks.

Here is an example from Bay Photo which you might appreciate, the lighthouse at Charlevoix, over the couch in the living room.

The frame, matting and photo was all Bay Photo, so super easy, just open the box and hang. All this sounds like I get a commission, but just happy customer :)

Great scene! And when I was checking out the site I didn't realize they'll do the framing, too. Have you ever done metal? At a recent art fair, we noticed lots of photographers using that medium and it looked really good.

I just got a 20x30 metal print from them, haven't hung it yet, but it looks great. It is very light weight for it's size, would be neat to do a huge print.

With apologies for the reflection in the pic - iPhone was all I had - this was sunset at WC2 on the evening of August 19th. It was the first night of a five-day trip in Yellowstone's NW corner, and as we sat and ate dinner along Fan Creek we noticed the 'clouds' we thought we'd been watching was actually a smoke plume rising up on a ridge on the Idaho side of the Gallatin River near where we'd ditched two cars (Fawn Pass TH, Specimen Creek TH).

Turns out we watched the start of the West Fork Fire while staring west to watch the sunset that evening. Thankfully (for us) it stayed on the west side of that ridge (as the winds were out of the south) and didn't explode. Didn't exactly make for the best sleep that night, though.
