Whilst we are on the verge of spring in Calgary- riding dry dirt trails on hillsides bursting with prairie crocus.
I must admit to dreaming of the desert, but in the meanwhile-it's still ski season up high in the Canadian Rockies.
Our April 16 ski tour to Little Crowfoot Peak, starting from Bow Lake along the Icefields Parkway north of Lake Louise, is a spring classic.
Scenery abounds.
The 2815 m summit is an easy ski ascent.
With fabulous views of the Wapta Icefield.
And often, great powder skiing.
Resting the legs-there's lots of turns left to go.
One of the best days of the 18-19 ski season.
