Beautiful flowers and scenery. I can see why the reflection shot is your favorite from that day! I love the lighting on many of your macros - how do you do that? We've got a lot of the same flowers blooming in the woods here in SE Michigan - mayapples, geranium, trillium, violets, etc. (no lady's slipper, though). But in the one spot in town where mountain laurel were planted, they're way behind. I love them and will have to wait a few more weeks!

The first day's photos were shot with a Voigtlander 65mm macro lens, probably my "best" lens but not frequently used. I suspect what you mean by lighting is nothing more than I tend to edit them with a bit of vignetting so the sides/background fades away and the center flower "pops". So the first trillium is nice macro lens and some vignetting added in post and a beautiful flower to start with.

So, I'm playing around with my mayapple photos from this afternoon. Here is (1) my original and (2) the same one edited on iphoto's "styles" (with tone -100 and color 100). Is that what you did with the vignette? I've never played around with that and am trying to decide if I like the effect.

I don't edit cell phone photos and don't have an Iphone, but that seems to be the basic idea. You might try to push up the highlights a little, but the flower exposure looks pretty good, so I would not push it too much. All of this is probably easier with RAW photos if you have the ability to access that from your phone.
