Okay being stuck down here in the South (horrible I know ) I don't get to see the snow. But I know it hit last night my knee told me so and so did my mom with this picture.

I want to see more. Snow it makes me happy!

I got a couple inches at my house in Cottonwood Heights and it is still coming down hard. I've gotta say though... I totally would have been okay if this has waited a month or so. :(

Awe this is just the early stuff. You know how Utah can be. This storm could be a tease and then nothing until December, or...this could mean.... one hell of a winter!! (My vote crazy winter.)

I guess I'd rather have a crazy winter than the last one we had. Crazy to think that at this time tomorrow I'll be en route to drop into Mystery Canyon from the rim of Zion canyon. Any precipitation down that way?

Is that the St George Temple in the distance? I've never been to that part of Utah (yet).

Yes that is the Temple.

No one but my mom had pictures of snow! I wanted you all to share with me.

Here is one from my sister of the storm later that night.

OK chere, Here is one of my backyard today at 7,000' - in the mtns above SLC. I suspect most of the state is getting hit this weekend so this may not be rare.overnightSnow_7.jpg

I'm buried. I'd say a foot and a half in my yard now and no power for a while now. :(

This is from this morning.

Hey ! You wanna borrow my Honda, 8HP, tracked extreme-machine snowblower ???? Now we can all appreciate those New Yorkians under snow without power for day 10 or something.

WoooHOOOoooooo!! My power is back on! It was only down for a couple hours, long enough to shovel all that snow, grill up some steaks and get the monopoly board all setup right as it turned on.

And now I've started the computer back up to find that the hours of video editing I did this morning are COMPLETELY LOST. I was literally minutes from being done with one for trip report I hoped to have posted right now. Where the HELL is autosave in Adobe Premiere?!!?!??!?!?!:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Phew! It turns out auto-save was sort of working so I only lost about an hour of work. Spent the last 2 hours redoing that and finishing it up and as soon as it's done upload, a trip report with video will be posted! What a great way to be snowed in. :)

How's the snowpocalypse treating everyone today? I think we're well over 2 feet at my house in Cottonwood Heights now. Definitely the single biggest snow producing storm we've experienced in more than 4 years of living at this house.
