Slough Creek - YNP - 6/5-7/23

Thanks to @ImNotDedYet I was able to join him and @Bob following @scatman’s Rescue Ck hike. We lit out just before 2p with a little under 5 miles to walk. It was a very pleasant stroll along the old two track of a trail in lovely weather. We landed in camp near 5:30, set up and ate right off and spent the days remainder relaxing and watching the late sunset. Sunrise was early and a pretty one. Spent the morning shooting the breeze around camp and then Bob headed home while ImNotDedYet and I hiked on to another camp. After getting set we took a little dayhike to The Outhouse. It’s a real beauty and if you’ve gotta be harried by the grizz, not a bad refuge. Back at camp we got rained on pretty good right after dinner, sending us inside for most of the evening. Dawn was a misty delight. The two of us made a good start and finished out by midday. It was my great pleasure to backpack with a couple really nice guys in such a really nice spot.
