San Juan National Forest Closure

Oh right bud is also a beer, lol.

A lot of rain could cause debris flows where the fires were. But I'm seeing some mammatus clouds here in central CO, very low and look wet. Bud must be coming in. Nice and cool.

ETA: never mind, all burned off and is getting hot.

It's already much cooler here in Glenwod Springs, even sprinkled a bit. I think it will help.

Is the forest up around uncompahagre still open? Any impact from the fires that far north?

Yes the Uncompahgre National Forest is still open and so is the BLM land in the area. All under Stage II Fire Restrictions. There can be smoke in the area depending on which way the winds are blowing.

Yeah I wouldn't have a fire anyway. I don't usually unless I am with others who want one.

Doesn't the CDT run thru this forest? Wondering how this will affect some of the hikers I follow on youtube.
Most of us are already north of San Juan NF. The low snow year that people were rolling into the San Juans as early as mid May. The bubble is basically between Salida and Grand Lake at this point.
