Salt Creek Canyon

I'm going here in March doing about the same route. I was wondering if you had a guide book to recommend. I'd like to see some rock art while I'm there. All American Man should be easy to find since its on the USGS map. But I'd like to see the 4 faces and the flying carpet panel. Do you have any tips for tracking those down?

The author's various hiking books (David Day) are all excellent. We used the above book for a visit to Salt Creek a few years back. I spoke with him once trying to order a book and he has hiked ALL of the tails he describes.
