Route 9 Through Zion closed indefinitely.

I originally made reservations in springdale just for convenience to access the east side (and oscars and blondies) Since the closure, I have also made back up reservations in hurricane and kanab to give me some flexibility. If the terrace is not accessible, I'll probably head to canaan or YF
Kolob Terrace Road is accessible all the way to the snowmobile turnaround. From there you have to walk up a mile to Wildcat . But literally everything is doable, it just adds a bit of extra mileage.
Kolob Canyon should open soon again. They had three rock falls, but they will clear it as soon as weather permits

I wonder how they'll enforce the 9 to 5? I'm interested in going back to gifford and/or separation.
Probably close the East entrance with a barricade after closing.

I think they will fux that one area like thry did on Highway 14: pound long supports into the ground and then use concrete/rock to fill the side in. Seems to work for 14.

The Zion-Mount Carmel Highway temporarily reopens to one lane travel. Busses and RVs are prohibited.
I actually like the fact that only cars can travel to East Zion now. The last few weeks and months there were at least 10-15 busses on the road each day, sometimes even more.

Yeah! Are you getting snow at the higher elevations?
