We drove west to Olympic National Park and points in between. These are from the Olympic area.

After catching a few other views from another spot we started back down from Hurricane Hill

This is on our hike to Sol Duc Falls. The trees were huge, especially to this east coast guy.

The falls. This trail was sorta crowded. What really got us was how most of the people were in such a big hurry to get up to the falls and then back down to the parking lot. There was so much to see and appreciate in the surrounding forest but they were missing it all.

Crescent Lake on a cool crisp bluebird morning. We wished we’d had our canoes.

This “island” reminded me of the movie Castaway. Most notably the dead tree on top.

We did not go into the Hoh rainforest area as it was afternoon by the time we would have gone in and we knew that the wait time to get in could be very long. We did go further south and visited the Quinault rainforest area which was pretty much empty of people.

And we did stop in Forks. For those of you who understand the significance of the town.
