quick Medicine Bow / Laramie-area hike?

I've spent little time in Wyoming but will be passing through Laramie in a few days and have time for just a short (half day or even less) hike in that area. As of a few days ago, trip reports were suggesting the Medicine Bow Peak still has snow crossings and I'll be with my family and maybe that's a bit too long for the short time frame anyway. Anyone have a particular suggestion for what we should do?
