The show was just getting started in Calgary, but then the clouds moved in. Crappy phone photo from our deck.

Best show of northern lights I've ever seen last night. I was outside from 6:45PM to 10PM and they were visible to the unaided eye the whole time. They were incredibly active, snaking across the sky in clouds and pillars. At times they were visible straight to the south of me (a rarity in Nebraska). Looks like there is potential for another good show tonight.

I used a mirrorless SLR for a lot of photos and had issues getting the focus right. Didn't realize it until about 3/4 of the way through shooting 200 pictures. Had a lot with poor focus. May dig out my old Nikon D750 (which is a better night photography camera anyway) if there is a good showing of the aurora tonight.

I stuck the GoPro out Wednesday night just in case the Northern Lights made a comeback.

I stayed up too late Tuesday night and had a full workday today (Thursday) to stay up late again last night.

No where near as good a show as 11/11, but here is a little color in a YouTube short.
