Need suggestions for Grand Canyon Photography

Hey everyone,

My next photo road trip to the Grand Canyon/Utah is in 11 1/2 weeks so that means it's time to start obsessing over the details I've got a campsite at the North Rim for 2 nights-where is the best place to shoot sunrise and sunsets? I've got the Photographer's Ephemeris and the angles look good at most of the points, but which is the most scenic?

What kind of car do you have? You really can't miss up there, any of the named viewpoints are great. The best stuff requires 4wd though. I like Kanab Point myself, but there are dozens. I'd be hesitant to get too far off pavement in the height of monsoon season though...

A 2WD Ford Escape, which has handled many roads it shouldn't have but also has 300k miles on it (yes, really!) and yeah, monsoon season isn't the best idea. Glad to hear I can't go wrong, but I'd like to get something that the rest of the world can't easily see. Ideas?

There are countless options. Kanab Point is likely your best bet in that vehicle. There are dirt roads all over Western Grand Canyon, many leading to unbelievably good views. Here's a couple.
