Album Mountains & Peaks

I'd love to learn more about your trip.
Sorry, missed this, @Janice. I ended up having to work more than expected. I flew into Lyon and booked an off-season ski condo in Puy St-Vincent, then hiked from there onto the GR54. I exited at St Firmin, taking the train back to L'Argentière, then hiking back to my condo. I also day-hiked the Tour du Combeynot, the Glacier Blanc, and the Grand Lac loop.

That 60 Lakes photo is awesome.

Don't usually see those locations combined in the same trip report. I assume you did something more interesting than staying on the JMT :)
Poor timing + gear failure. I had planned a DIY high route from Kearsarge to Little Lakes Valley, but skipped the next offtrail section after 60 Lakes due to the daily t-storms. It seemed to imprudent to try to hit 3-4 offtrail passes per day with lightning. On top of that my inflatable pad delaminated on the second night (still unable to fix it). I exited at Bishop Pass, and caught a ride into town with a local climber.
