Seven years since my last summit of Timpanogos. Where has the time gone? Yesterday on my 62nd birthday, I headed back up to see if I could reach the summit one more time. Started out at the Timpooneke Trailhead with my family and our friend Jon who has been doing my birthday hike with me for a number of years now.
We left just after 6:00 am for the 7.3 mile trek to the top. Along our way the wildflowers were everywhere, and we got to see some mountain goats up high. Katie and I were the only ones that summited as Sheila stayed at the saddle, and Jon headed over to Emerald Lake.
After our hike, we stopped by Strap Tank Brewery in Lehi for a bite to eat before heading home.
